The picturesque Lehigh Valley community of Bethlehem Township is rich in history and natural beauty. European settlers first arrived in the area in 1730 and the township has been called Bethlehem since Christmas Eve 1741, when it was named by its German Moravian settlers.

Bethlehem Township is considered part of the greater New York-Newark-Jersey Metropolitan Statistical Area and there are many shops and restaurants within the area. Green Pond Country Club is open to the public, allowing Bethlehem Township’s residents access to a beautiful and challenging Alex Findley-designed golf course. Northampton Country Club is a members-only club with an outstanding 6,524-yard golf course and exceptional tennis, swimming, and dining facilities.
